In association with
Ghent University

Food2Know resulted from Ghent University, as IOF (Industrieel Onderzoeksfonds = Industrial Research Fund) consortium.

The Industrial Liaison Network offers a supporting framework for the collaboration between Ghent University and industry, with business development centers which bundle complementary research departments by application field or expertise domain.

Each center is responsible for the transfer of technology within its competence field. A center is being run by a business development manager who acts as direct contact person with the industry, whether it is about research, services, research collaboration or licenses.

The IOF platforms stand on the intersection of different research areas, hence accommodating to the increasing social and economical importance of interdisciplinarity. The IOF platform coordinator is the central contact point for a certain expertise domain. With these IOF valorisation platforms the Association Ghent University wants to go all in on multidisciplinary valorization opportunities within core expertise domains.
