Assuring food integrity in the European food supply chain: what role can information sharing play?

As part of FOOD INTEGRITY, a European research project on the integrity of the European food supply chain, Ghent University (Belgium) and TNO (The Netherlands) are studying the feasibility of afood integrity information sharing system (FIISS) where information of different actors in the food supply chain could be gathered. To study attitudes among stakeholders in the food supply chain, a Delphi study is conducted consisting of three rounds. Today, we launch the second round which is open to all interested stakeholders (regardless of having participated in the first round).

  • In the first round, a total of 119 food industry stakeholders participated in an online survey between November 2017 and February 2018.
  • In this second round, the findings of the first round are presented to you and you are given the chance to voice your opinion on them or raise more questions. By consulting different stakeholders (industry, policy makers, authorities, researchers,...) about their opinion on the results, we are hoping to gain more understanding into some of the findings. 
  • The third round will be organized as a workshop where the results of the previous rounds will be presented followed by an interactive discussion.
